Who We Are
Headquartered in Downtown Hancock, Michigan, Eliason Law is a general practice law firm focusing on serving the legal needs of businesses and individuals throughout the Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin.
Our experienced team of attorneys and legal professionals work together to craft solutions that are practice and efficient. We are dedicated to diligence, communication, and hard work. Throughout the legal process, we ensure that our clients can focus on what they do best, whether it’s running a business, working, being a student, or running a family.
Matthew C. Eliason
Opening the firm in 2010, Mr. Eliason has been
practicing in a variety of legal areas in Hancock for
almost 15 years. His experience with many types of cases
and his local knowledge have proven to be successful. He
is graduate of Plymouth State College in Plymouth, NH
(BS) and Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee,
WI (JD). He is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and
the State Bar of Wisconsin. Mr. Eliason is also a proud
member of the Copper Country Bar Association.
Joshua C. Moore
Mr. Moore joined
the firm in April 2023 as a Law Clerk while attending
the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, MN. He
gradated with his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline in
May 2024 and joined Mr. Eliason as a full-time attorney
on November 27, 2024, when he was sworn into the State
Bar of Michigan. Josh graduated locally from Hancock
High School and Finlandia University before pursuing his
law degree. He understands our community and brings
positive energy and diligence to each case and client.

Our fees vary depending on the nature and complexity of your case. During the initial consultation, we will get an understanding of your case to determine the retainer fee.
